What truly connects a Brand to humans is the craft of storytelling. Authentic expression of brand values and heritage bought to emotional life through ever evolving configurations, collaborations and channel adaptions. LEGO, the iconic Danish toy manufacturer, are masters in the art of brand communications. Their ‘Build The Future’ short form digital TV show with Channel 4 shows just how effective considered social first, knowingly distributed, branded content is for high value impact on audience and equity.
4Studio, Channel 4’s social first content and distribution powerhouse, produces and partners with creators from across the UK to entertain young people with relevant content on their favourite social platforms. 4Studio commissioned Kalel Productions to produce the 4 part TV show, which features comedians Judi Love, Aisling Bea, Rhys James, and Katherine Ryan partnering up with kids to build LEGO creations that show the limitless world of their imaginations and ideas for a brighter future. The series was launched on C4 YouTube, with 60 edits for socials. A liner tv ad and billboards amplified the UK brand campaign.
Broadley’s unique central London location, agile studio specs, second to none technical expertise and facilities suited exactly what Kalel Productions required to deliver the cut. We used a combination of 4x Sony FX9 cameras, Yamaha TF1 Sound Mixer, 3x Sennheiser Radio Mics, In Ear Monitors, Full Lighting rig equipped with 9 Gemini RGB 2x1 panels, Kino Flo LED light panels, Ianiro Fresnels to capture the shows at broadcast quality.
Filming kids dive into LEGO for a TV show, supported by talented comedians on a journey of free flowing imaginative learning, reminded us why we’re all here in the first place. Great Stuff.
