This episode, which has already garnered an impressive 2.3 million views within a week on YouTube, was filmed in Studio 1 using our Sony FX9 cameras and Sony G Master lenses.

This case study details the collaboration between Niko Omilana and Broadley Studios, highlighting the technical setup, the creative process, and the success of the episode.

The Project

Niko Omilana’s visit to Broadley Studios was part of his ongoing podcast series, NDL Podcast, where he explores various entertaining and thought-provoking themes.

For the episode titled "Match The Food To The Country," Niko invited guests to participate in a fun challenge where they had to match different foods to their respective countries of origin. The engaging format and Niko’s charismatic hosting style contributed significantly to the episode's popularity.

The Tech

To ensure the highest production quality, Broadley Studios provided Niko and his team with Sony FX9 cameras and Sony G Master lenses.

The FX9 cameras are renowned for their advanced 6K full-frame sensor, offering exceptional image quality and versatility, crucial for capturing the dynamic interactions and vibrant visuals of the podcast. The Sony G Master lenses complemented the cameras perfectly, providing sharpness, clarity, and beautiful bokeh effects that enhanced the overall aesthetic of the episode.

Filming in Studio 1

Studio 1 layout and state-of-the-art facilities provided an ideal setting for the NDL podcast.

The studio's acoustics, lighting setup, and flexible design allowed Niko’s team to create a visually appealing and immersive environment for the episode. Our in-house technical team worked closely with Niko’s crew to ensure smooth operation and all technical requirements.

The Filming Process

The filming process was a collaborative effort between Niko and his team and the Studios’ technical team.

Pre-production involved detailed planning to align on the episode’s format, set design, and technical requirements. On the day of the shoot, our team ensured that the equipment was ready for a seamless filming experience.

During the recording, the Sony FX9 cameras captured every moment with precision, while the G Master lenses provided stunning visual clarity. Niko’s engaging hosting and the lively participation of the guests were perfectly captured, creating content that was both entertaining and visually impressive.

Feedback

The Broadley team’s virtual set blew us away.

Our client originally wanted to film in Holland but why travel when you can create the perfect solution virtually, at a fraction of the cost, right here in the heart of London?! We were very impressed with Broadley’s vision and execution.

The result was a beautiful film with high production values.
